Peder Most Garden commissioned MARCH—PMG ´53 to celebrate its 60th anniversary from
1953 to 2013. Peder Most Garden is a marching band based in Svendborg on the island of Fyn,
Denmark. Throughout its existence, it has provided groundbreaking musical education in the town
and is a household name in Svendborg.

The first section of the march is built upon original material from the composer. He incorporates
a well-known song/hymn by Carl Nielsen; "Som en rejselysten flåde" as a hymn-based foundation
in the trio and throughout the march.

Peder Most Garden recorded the march on their anniversary CD/album "60 år med musikken".
