Phenomena Fanfare (brass band)

DKK 350.00

Phenomena Fanfare is based on themes by Gustav Mahler (3rd Symphony, 1. movement) and was originally composed as the fanfare section in the prologue & epilogue of the Phenomena Suite commissioned by Russel Gray & the Reg Vardy Band for Brass In Concert, held at The Sage Gateshead, on November 15th 2015.

This extended version uses more material from the 3rd Symphony and the special Mahler “earth theme” (bar 17) creates a kind of inverted climax.

Re-composed/arranged for the Uni-Brass contest 2017 by request from
a special friend, conductor Ian Porthouse & the Birmingham Conservatoire Brass Band.

Revised again in 2024 for the CD “Elysian Fields”

Duration c. 2.00 min. - Grade 5
